Since i just today stumbled across a python-frontend imposed funnyness WRT
entries in /etc/hosts that read like:
1.1.1.1 $(seq -w 1 9999 | tr "\n" " ")
(or rather 1.1.1.1 foo bar1 ... (-ULL-1))
which made everybody (nscd, python, etc) segfault in various funny ways,
i mean to point folks to alleged issues with such candidates..
