Not for tinyx, but for uClibc yes. (Speaking of which, there isn't exactly a
tinyx anymore. Not as a separate project. x.org was rebased on tinyx years
ago. tinyx is from the old obsolete XFree86 stuff that nobody uses anymore.)

You'd have to rewrite it, not just recompile it. :)
Straight X should be fine, you were just asking about directfb...
